Irish Time is smiling….

Well, it’s been a busy time! I recently did a gig at the Irish Festival out in Pomona. It was great to see Lord Rusty, and to perform with Bill Howard. (We have such busy lives, it’s hard to do the duo gigs, and joy when you can.) I also got a chance to catch up with my friend Tristan, who was down in the Re-enactor section, him and his crew were portraying freedom fighters from the Irish Easter rebellion, and getting rave reviews. Their hospitality was fantastic! Last night, I performed (along with my son) out at the Westwood Presbyterian Church. Let me tell you, I wish all gigs were as well put together- great food, an impressive hand out, talent (just out of their community), wow. And now we come to the St.Patricks day Parade,  in Canoga Park, 1:30 to 4:30, Tuesday the 17th. I encourage anybody who has the time to come out and join us. The parade goes about 4 blocks and stops for bits of entertainment here and there, and ends with an area set up for music, stories and more!

Lessee- well, what else is in the cards? I’m still writing articles for the Crown Prints (the S.Cal SCA magazine. Check out my SCA page. (and if you want articles about things Celtic, they are on this website too!) I am working on a “Combat Archery Tactics Manual” for the SCA, and will need help from my SCA friends to help do some research. (For my non-sca friends…don’t worry, it’s all done with padded weapons and such.) I’m looking forward to the Potrero War, memorial day weekend. Remember, House Strongbow, Sleepy Hollow- House Concert. I hope all my Bardic friends show up and join the fun. I think Edara and her incredible Belly Dance crew will be joining us there as well!

My Sci-Fi Novel, “Brass Jack” is coming along (350 pages so far!)-and I’m looking forward to sending it out to some of my hard-corps Geek friends to read. I want to get input, and see if they think it’s commercially viable.  My diet, etc. still progressing- working out hard, but my weight seems to have plateaued..but I’m a lot healthier than when folks saw me last year, and that’s a good thing! And I’m still working on getting my storytelling CD out, (Bill has been busy.)  It seems recording live is a lot harder than I expected. I may have to have some small storytelling concerts, just for this purpose!

In any case, have a fantastic St. Pat’s, and look forward to hearing from you! P.s. I’m on facebook, search “Robert Seutter”.

Cead Mille Failte, have a look around the website and drop me a line!

Blessings- True
